Shawn Cioto, Vice President of Operations at Dovetail + Co, is a seasoned hospitality leader with more than 15 years of experience across hotel and restaurant operations. In his current role at Dovetail + Co, he helps advance the company’s commitment to best-in-class operations, exceptional guest experiences, and a people-first culture across its growing portfolio of thoughtfully curated hotels and resorts.

Shawn brings extensive operational expertise to Dovetail + Co, with a background that includes multiple General Manager roles in major markets such as New York City and Boston. Prior to joining Dovetail + Co, he served as Regional Vice President of Operations – Northeast at Maverick Hotels, overseeing day-to-day operations across the region. His experience spans hotel operations, team development, service excellence, and building high-performing teams.

At Dovetail + Co, Shawn plays a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth while maintaining elevated standards for both guests and employees. His leadership helps ensure that the company’s distinctive properties—from Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa in Bermuda and Urban Cowboy Lodge in the Catskills to its Wayfinder Hotels located in Hawaii, California and Rhode Island and Now Now NoHo and Collective Retreats in New York City—deliver thoughtful, high-touch hospitality experiences rooted in their respective destinations.

Shawn earned his MBA from the University of Connecticut and holds a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He also serves on the UMass Amherst Hospitality and Tourism Management Leadership Board, reflecting his continued commitment to the hospitality industry and to developing the next generation of industry leaders.
